I'm glad Bush made the reference to a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Whether or not states recognize it -- it highlights something I think is endemic and hypocritical within the administration. I guess I could characterize it by "states rights, except where we say so" or "I don't like the fact the Constitution protects everyone, so we'll cut this group out" or "we don't like big government except to impose our way of life on YOU".... The Constitution is no place to abridge a person's rights due to who they decide to partner with.
