VA governor removes anti-discrimination protection for gays

I'm saddened, but not shocked. In case you did not see this, (also here) the new VA governor, Bob McDonnell, is removing express protection from discrimination for gays and lesbians from Virginia's books. There's no humane reason to do so, and such actions encourage a view that our fellow citizens are somehow second class people.
